EIA for Oldvic Resort, Hurghada
Environmental Impact Assessment supporting the legalization and redevelopment of Oldvic Resort through environmental impact analysis, renovation planning, and environmental management measures.

Project Scope
Mawael Environmental Consultancy prepared the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for Oldvic Resort in Hurghada to support the legalization of the existing resort and the planned redevelopment works in accordance with Egyptian environmental legislation and EEAA requirements. The assessment covered the existing resort facilities, proposed demolitions, renovations, utility upgrades, and new construction activities. Environmental baseline conditions were established using available literature and secondary information, while project alternatives were evaluated to identify the most environmentally appropriate development approach. Potential environmental and social impacts were assessed using recognized impact assessment methodologies, followed by the development of practical mitigation measures to minimize adverse effects. The study also included a comprehensive Environmental Management Plan (EMP) defining environmental monitoring requirements, institutional responsibilities, and operational procedures to ensure sustainable environmental compliance throughout construction and operation.
