Project Overview

Environmental Impact Assessment supporting the legalization and environmental permitting of Green Beach Resort through impact assessment, alternatives analysis, and environmental management planning.

Mawael Environmental Consultancy prepared a Category C Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for Green Beach Resort on Egypt’s North Coast to support the legalization of the existing resort and obtain the required environmental approvals under the current Environmental Law and EEAA regulations. The study reviewed existing environmental baseline conditions using available literature and secondary data, evaluated project alternatives, and assessed potential environmental impacts through a structured impact assessment matrix. Significant environmental issues were identified and assessed in accordance with national best practices, while practical and cost-effective mitigation measures were developed to reduce adverse impacts. The assignment also included the preparation of a comprehensive Environmental Management Plan (EMP) defining institutional responsibilities, environmental monitoring requirements, and operational management measures to ensure long-term environmental compliance throughout the resort’s operation.
