EW/0012 – Replacement of 12” Crude Oil Line with 16” Crude Oil Line and Associated Facilities
Environmental and Social Assessment Report supporting pipeline replacement works in Kuwait through impact assessment, regulatory compliance, and environmental management planning.

Project Scope
Mawael Environmental Consultancy prepared an Environmental and Social Assessment Report (ESAR) for the replacement of an existing 12-inch crude oil pipeline with a new 16-inch pipeline and associated facilities in the State of Kuwait. The assessment established baseline environmental conditions using available environmental data and evaluated potential impacts during demolition, construction, and operational phases in accordance with Kuwait Environmental Public Authority (KEPA) requirements. The assignment identified environmental and social risks related to construction activities, pipeline operation, waste management, occupational health and safety, and surrounding environmental receptors. Appropriate mitigation measures, environmental management procedures, monitoring requirements, and reporting protocols were developed to support regulatory compliance and ensure environmentally responsible implementation throughout the project’s lifecycle.
